The Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB) has announced Governor Dauda Lawal’s approval for the board to recruit Three Thousand and Fifty (3,050) qualified teachers into the State’s basic education system.
Executive Chairman of the board, Prof. Nasir Garba Anka had in a press release stated that
the landmark approval underscored the unwavering commitment of the present administration to revitalising the education sector and addressing the shortage of qualified teachers across public primary and junior secondary schools in Zamfara state.
“The recruitment of the 3,050 teachers is aimed at:
- Improving the teacher–pupil ratio across the State;
- Enhancing the quality of teaching and learning outcomes;
- Expanding access to basic education, particularly in underserved communities; and
- Strengthening the overall capacity of the basic education sub-sector,” the press statement added.
Prof. Nasir Anka commended the governor’s bold and timely intervention, which reflected the administration’s dedication to human capital development and sustainable educational reform.
ZSUBEB therefore assured the general public that the recruitment process will be transparent, merit-based, and conducted in accordance with extant rules and guidelines. It stressed that
further details regarding application procedures, eligibility criteria, and timelines will be communicated in due course through official channels.
The board had similarly called on qualified and interested candidates to prepare to take advantage of this opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of education in Zamfara State.
