The zamfara state commissioner of Police Ahmad Muhammad Bello has describes working journalists in the state as partners in tackling insecurity and assured them of totals cooperations and support in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The commissioner disclose this while receiving members of the correspondent chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists zamfara in his office.He said no meaningful organization can ignore journalists in the discharge of their responsibilities .
He said, journalists has been helping and assisting the security agencies particular the police in the fight against banditry in the state by given correct and adequate information to the general public on the efforts of the police in securing the society
He said, he would continue to partner with journalists for optimal performance in given correct information to the public.
He called on the journalists to always verify any information as it’s regards police operation in the state.
In his earlier speech, the chairman of the correspondent chapel comrade Ishaq Tambuwal said, the journalists were in the commissioner”s office to seek for his cooperations and support towards the discharge of their responsibilities and urged the police to always update the public on it’s operation that can help them in understanding situation around them.
He assured the police that, members of the correspondent chapel would continue to partner with them in maintaining peace in the state.
