Zamfara state Commissioner of Police, Cp Muhammad Shehu Dalijan decorated fifty four senior police officers of the command with their new ranks.
The promotees are the beneficiaries of the recent promotions released by the police Service Commission (PSC) on 12/10/2023 of which Zamfara police command benefited from.
The promoted officers are three(3) superintendents of police (SP) promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of police(CSP ) and fifty one (51) Assistant superintendents of police (ASP) promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP). Among the beneficiaries are the Chief Imam of the Command, SP Suleiman Al-hassan, who is promoted to the rank of CSP and Asp Aminu Magawata, Asp Buhari Yandoto , Asp Hassan Abdullahi were promoted to the rank of DSP.
In his remarks, the Commissioner of Police, Zamfara Command, Cp Muhammad Shehu Dalijan congratulated the newly promoted officers and stated that the change in their status signified additional responsibilities. He charged them to put in more commitment and professionalism while discharging their legitimate duty also warned them to be disciplined and hardworking.
However, one of the newly promoted officers, CSP Ken .O. Akujinwa, in a vote of thanks on behalf of the newly promoted officers thanked the Almighty God for making this remarkable day possible for them, and further expressed their profound gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukakayode Egbetokun PhD NPM and Chairman Police Service Commission ( PSC) IGP SOLOMON ARASE (RT) for this opportunity and honour to be promoted. He also has thanked the Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command and his management team for making it possible for the decoration to take place today. He assured the Inspector General of Police on behalf of other beneficiaries that they will remain committed and dedicated to their duty as enshrined by their constitutional mandate.
