The vice chancellor of the Federal University Gusau professor MG Abubakar has expressed satisfaction with his performance in the institution.
The vice chancellor disclosed this to journalists shortly after 1st maiden edition of public lecture organized in his honor by the University College of Health Sciences.
He said, he has brought some level of development to ensure the University meet up with its contemporary in terms infrastructure and modern facilities to ensure conducive learning environment.
Professor MG Abubakar said, he initiated the establishment of college of health sciences in the University and ensure its completion and get accredited by relevant bodies for smooth take off with several departments being accredited.
He further stated that the college of health sciences is one of the best in this part of the country,he said the various developmental projects,he initiated and the ones he completed are part of his contribution to educational goals of the institution.
The public lecture was presented by professor Ismail Mungadi the provost of the college with the title “Breaking the silence, understanding prostate and unitary issues”
He attributed prostate to issues of age, family history and races,he calls for early detection and treatments.
Several health experts, professors, University community and general public attended the lecture including journalists.
