Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state, says traditional rulers serve as catalysts for the success recorded by his administration in all sectors of human development.According to a press statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Abubakar Mu”azu Dakingari, the governor was speaking at the palace of the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Zayyanu Muhammad Abdullahi at his palace when he paid homage to the royal father to introduce the APC gubernatorial candidate , Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu.
He thanked the Emir of Yauri for his consistent loyalty and cooperation to the government, soliciting for his support to the candidature of Dr. Nasir Idris to enable him consolidate or even surpass the achievement so far recorded, by his administration.
Governor Atiku Bagudu applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for implementing various projects in the Emirate.
These include Jega-Koko-Yauri-Kontagora road, Presidential Artisan Gold Mining Programme for youth, Yauri power station, GB food tomatoes factory as well as Dangote Rice Mill in Saminaka, Shanga Local Government.
Others are establishment of HYPPADEC and appointment of the first Managing Director, Saddik Yelwa Katukan Yauri and completion of Yauri water works.
He again sought for support from the Emir and his people towards ensuring the victory of Dr. Nasir Idris as governor and the presidential candidate of the APC as well as all the candidates of APC.
Also speaking former Governor and Director-General APC Campaign Organization, Alhaji Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari said the purpose of the gathering in Yauri was to flag-off the Zonal Rally for Kebbi South soliciting for support to APC candidate at national and state levels.
On his part, the APC governorship candidate Dr. Nasir Idris said he was in the palace to present himself to the Emir through the Director-General APC campaign organization and seek for support to his candidacy and other APC contestants to consolidate upon what Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has done.
In response, the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Zayyanu Muhammad Abdullahi was full of gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for fulfilling promises to the emirate in the areas of roads construction, electricity supply, HYPPADEC establishment, and appointment of an indigene of Yauri as Managing Director and Presidential Implementation of Artisanal Mining Scheme in Yauri emirate.
In arrival in Yauri, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was at the township Stadium where he addressed hundreds of APC party supporters who trooped out en masse at the APC Zonal Campaign rally for Kebbi south.
He urged the electorate to vote massively for the APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmad Tinubu and Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu as governor of Kebbi state as well as other candidates in the 2023 elections for continuity of development and good governance.

Abdullahi Umar Muslim, Alhaji Sani Zauro Hukuma Zannan Gwandu, Alhaji Abubakar Gari Malam, Shatiman Gwandu, MD HYPPADEC, Alhaji Saddiq Yelwa Katukan Yauri, APC Chairman Yauri Local Government, Alhaji Yusuf Alhassan, APC State Women Leader, Aishatu Gunabi, the Secretary to the State Government, Babale Umar Yauri, APC Deputy Governorship Candidate Abubakar Umar Tafidan Kabi, Member House of Representatives, Yauri/Ngaski/Shanga constituency, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu while the State Deputy Governor, retired Colonel Sama’ila Yombe Dabai was in attendance at the rally.All the speakers concurred on the glaring achievements of APC led administration at federal level under President Muhammadu Buhari and under Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu in Kebbi state, urging all APC supporters to vote massively for the party’s candidates in the 2023 elections.
At the event, the State APC Chairman received decampees into the APC from PRP and PDP in Yauri local government.
