A high level delegation representing Her Excellency, the First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal has paid a condolence visit to the new Emir of Gusau, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello (Sarkin Katsinan Gusau).
The delegation, led by Hajiya Larai Musa Lawal, conveyed the First Lady’s heartfelt condolences to the Emir and his family over the passing of his father, the late Emir Alhaji Ibrahim Bello, who was widely respected for his exemplary leadership and service to the Gusau Emirate and Zamfara State at large.
Speaking during the visit, Hajiya Larai expressed deep sympathy and offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the late Emir. She also extended Her Excellency’s warm congratulations to Alhaji Abdulkadir on his recent appointment as the 20th Emir of Gusau, wishing him wisdom and success in his new role.
In his remarks, the new Emir expressed appreciation for the visit and the First Lady’s continued support, describing her as a sister figure and thanking Governor Dauda Lawal for entrusting him with the revered throne. He pledged to serve the emirate with dedication, humility, and honor.
The delegation also paid a condolence visit to the Chairman of the Zamfara State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness the Emir of Anka, Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad, to commiserate over the loss of the late Emir of Gusau. Emir Attahiru praised the First Lady for her thoughtful gesture, noting that it reinforced unity and support among traditional institutions during difficult times.
The delegation comprised Permanent Member, Senior Special Assistants, Special Advisers, State PDP Women Leader, Directors, wives of Local Government Chairmen and State Assembly Members, women politicians, and other prominent figures.
