Since he was kicked out of office many years ago, a former information commissioner, Alhaji Ibrahim Danmaliki Gidan-Goga has politically lost relevance, as such, he turns into a political prostitution, being hired by politicians to attack their opponents.
Danmaliki now depends on political prostitution, moving from one successful politician to the other for survival because he has completely lost hope.
I watched an online TV two days ago where Danmalikin Gidan-Goga was at it again. He was struggling for survival, trying to scold PDP members in Zamfara state in order to please a member representing Maru Bungudu Federal Constituency Honourable Abdul Malik Zubairu and Senator Abdul Aziz Yari just for the sake of money not for any political office.
We are all living witnesses that in 2019, Danmaliki was being used by Bello Mattawalle when he was contesting for governorship election. Matawalle paid him to work against the ruling APC government under the leadership of former Governor Abdul Aziz Yari.
Similarly, when Danmaliki finished his paid assignment with Bello Matawalle, he also shamelessly returned to Abdul Aziz Yari’s camp on the same purpose, not knowing that, Matawalle would become the Governor of the state.
Danmaliki is currently with Abdul Aziz Yari, being treated as an errand boy and political dog, waiting for assignments to fight the ruling PDP government in the state.
In the same video clip, Danmaliki was telling the whole world that, Senator Abdul Aziz Yari has dashed out money to APC supporters who were in his house in Talata-Mafara and was boasting that, nobody from the PDP memebers can do that.
I will like to remind Danmaliki and his likes that, the people of Zamfara state have witnessed dashing out money from the previous administrations without executing developmental projects.
The previous administrations have failed to execute people oriented projects in the state. They looted the state’s treasury and cunningly used part of the looted funds to the people as welfare. This is what Danmalikin Gidan-Goga is interested in.
Zamfara state has suffered serious drawbacks in the past as a result of none performance from the previous administrations and have been praying for a positive change.
With the arrival of Governor Dauda Lawal, the people of the state have started to witness remarkable changes in all sectors of human endeavors.
Despite the fact that, Governor Lawal inherited empty treasury from his predecessor Bello Mattawalle, he was able to execute the following developmental projects without borrowing a kobo from outside.
Rehabilitation of Gusau township roads to make the town wear a new look of a state capital like its counterparts in some parts of the country.
Total renovation of Nasarawa Burkullu Primary healthcare center and also
upgraded it from a primary healthcare center to a General Hospital.
Similarly, Maradun, Kaura-Namoda and Maru General Hospitals were fully renovated and equipped with medical facilities.
When he took over the mantle of leadership, the unpaid backlog of pension and gratuity stood at over N13 billion. Within no time, Governor Lawal was able to pay the sum of N9 billion.
He inherited unpaid N1.3 billion owed to NECO and N1.6 billion owed to WAEC. As I am talking to you now, the money was paid and our students were able to access their results.
When Governor Lawal came to office, he met civil servants collecting N18,000 as minimum wage but as a good leader, he directed for the payment of N30,000 minimum wage. Efforts are currently being made to pay the new minimum wage of N70,000.
The IGR of the state was just N90 million monthly but with experience and foresight, the state is now generating N1.2 billion.
Another commendable effort of Governor Lawal was the immediate payment of three months’ salary arrears for Zamfara civil servants, which his his predecessor Bello Matawalle refused to pay.
The renovation of Gusau Orphanage Home, provision of more classrooms, living rooms, and water supply were commendable efforts made by Governor Lawal.
Construction of 14 additional classrooms and renovation of examination halls at the School of Health Technology, Tsafe by the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal deserved commendation.
The recruitment and training of 300 Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in each of the 14 LGA to ensure safety and security was a wonderful initiative which the previous administrations failed to do.
The administration of Governor Dauda Lawal has provided mobility and new patrol vehicles to security forces aimed at enhancing their safety and assistance in tackling insecurity.
The JB Yabuhu Secretariat was renovated and upgraded to ensure an enabling environment for Zamfara State workers.
As part of his effort to improve the Islamic knowledge, Governor Lawal constructed three Tsangaya schools in the three senatorial zones of the state.
Similarly, there are lots of ongoing projects like total rehabilitation or Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital to make it a teaching hospital.
Similarly, the rehabilitation of General Hospital Gusau, Anka, Mafara and King Fahad General hospitals are under total rehabilitation.
Construction of the International Cargo Airport Gusau abandoned by the previous administrations is currently ongoing.
Finally, I want to appeal to the good people of the state, to continue supporting the policies and programs of the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal in order to move the state forward.
Anybody who is stealing your money and giving you a small fraction of it in the name of welfare is not interested in your progress.
Governor Dauda Lawal has come with a rescue mission to salvage the state from disintegration, as such, there is the need for those who mean well for the state to rally round him.
