The Zamfara state government in collaboration with the office of the special adviser to the governor Dauda, on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to empower Seven Thousand and Five Hundreds Small Scale Business’s with funds and business materials, through out the Fourteenth local government areas in Zamfara.
In his addressed the Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals SDGs, Dr Aliyu Adamu Barmo, during the flag off, the benefiary selection and screening excirses, recently held at College of health Science and Technology Tsafe in Zamfara state.
According to Him, “with governor Dauda Lawal zeal and determination to burst the economic activities in the state, the governor introduced empowerment initiative to support small scale and medium entrepreneurship with funds and business materials through out Fourteenth local government areas in the state.
The former sole administrator Tsafe local government, however explained that, the governor Dauda target is to assist women’s and youths to establish and empower their businesses.
“over One Hundred (100) categories of small scale businesses have selected and Five Hundred (500) people’s would benefited from each Fourteenth (14) local local government, but Gusau the state capital allocated with one thousand and Five Hundred (1500) beneficiaries.
The Senior Special Assistant to governor further noted that, “each beneficiary would benefited with business materials cost fifty thousand naira (M50,000), and One Hundred Thousand naira (N100,000) to be transferred to individuals account directly.
He further noted that, the programme started in Tsafe local government follow by others, and Fifty thousand people’s (50,000) is targeted for the initiative planned by SDGs.
Also speaking the facilitator of the programme, Faruk Abdulkarim Mayana, said ” we are here to conduct an enrollment and screening excirses digitally for easy, accurate and timely release of funds and properties to beneficiaries.
He warns on those that lucky benefited for not share or gives any single kobo to any, stressing that it’s programme inntiated by the governor for the benefit of women’s and youths, and the empowerment programme is free.
