Zamfara social activist Salisu Lalan has called on President Tinubu to remove Bello Matawalle as Minister of state defence for incompetence
Lalan made the call while speaking to journalists at corespondents chapel office of the NUJ in Gusau.
He said it is an urgent call and is for the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider as a matter of concern which requires immediate attention because the security of lives of Nigerians is at stake.
He further said Matawalle has nothing to offer, he has failed ,he is a northerner and these security breaches mostly affect the northern Nigeria. He lamented with a louder voice that he Matawalle be removed immediately and be replaced with a capable somebody who can perform better.
Salisu said Bello Matawalle as indigeñ from Zamfara State, Since his assumption of office as defence Minister, he rarely visit the state and even if he visits, it is for his political Mission and not for security.
He said the earlier the president takes action the better for Nigeria: it is not safe that countries like America are now intruding in our security affairs.
