The correspondents chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists zamfara state council has distributed food items to members as Ramadan Palliatives.
Flagging the distribution the chairman of NUJ Zamfara comrade Ibrahim Maizare urged other chapels to emulates the correspondents chapel by providing similar gestures to their members as this would go long way to cushions the effects and provide relief to members in this time of competitive demand.
Comrade Ibrahim Maizare charge the chapel to maintain the tempo as it also promote unity among members and called on members to always support leaders that are determined to ensure that the welfare of members are utmost in there mind.
Also speaking during the distribution exercise, the zonal secretary of NUJ in charge of zone A comrade Abdul Razaq Bello Kaura expressed satisfaction with the performance of the leaders of the correspondents chapel and called on them not to relent in there efforts to promote unity and welfare of their members.
Earlier speaking during the event, the chairman of the correspondents chapel comrade Ishaq Zaki Tambuwal said the leadership of the chapel would continue to pursue the issues of welfare of members at all times as it will not negets in it’s responsibilities.
He further assured that more packages would come as the leadership would continue to collaborates with relevant stake holders in pursuing the welfare of members and providing conducive atmosphere in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He urged members to maintain unity and harmonious working relationship among themselves.
Items distributed includes rice, spaghetti,milk,bournvita and sugar.
