The Executive Council members of Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ZACCIMA) and over thirty traders Associations in the state have unanimously expelled Deputy President One of the Chamber, Chika Galidima over irregularities.
Galadima was removed by the unanimous resolution of the Executive Council members and the leaders of the Traders Association at the stakeholders meeting of the chamber held at the Falala Hotel held in Gusau on the 19/08/2026.
According to the Executive Council members, Galadima was expelled over many offences which included Delay in taking decisions to promote and move the chamber forward, personalizing the affairs of the chamber among other offences .
The Council unanimously appointed Deputy President Two of the Chamber, Alhaji Abubakar Kabir to take over the position of Chika Galadima as Deputy President One.
In their separate Submissions on behalf of the Council members and Traders has impeached Galidima over various offences and over his failure to lead the association in the direction.
In his acceptance speech, the newly appointed Deputy President One of the chamber, Abubakar Kabir thanked the Council members and all the representatives traders Associations in the state,
” I accept the nomination for the position of the Deputy President One of the Chamber and agreed to work with all stakeholders for the development of the Commercial activities in the state”
” We are going to collaborate with the state government to promote trades and businesses for the development of Economic activities in the state.
He Commended the council members, traders and Business associations in the state for their dedication and concern to the development of the chamber.
He called stakeholder’s support for the development of the chamber.
Sadiq appealed to Governor Dauda Lawal to support the chamber of commerce to achieve in reviving the economic activities of the entire state
In their Separate remarks, the traders Associations called on Governor Dauda Lawal to actively support Zamfara Traders with loans with boost trading activities across the state.
According to them, it his high time for Governor Dauda Lawal to consider the approval of loans to the traders to develop their businesses.
In attendance at the meeting were representstives from Cattle dealers association, Motorcycle sellers association, Fish sellers Association, Poultry Farmers Association, Dates Sellers Association, Block Boulders Association, Groundnut Sellers Association and Grains Dealers Association among others.
