The Zamfara Agricultural Development Project (ZADP), with support from Solidaritès Internationale, has organized a Three-day Capacity Building for 100 ZADP and Local Government Extension Workers on Farmers Field and Business School (FFBS) Extension Approach.
The training, aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and achieving food sufficiency in the State, took place at the conference hall of the ZADP Samaru-Gusau, with the participation key stakeholders in the Parastatals and Departments of the Ministry.
Representing the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Honourable Yau Haruna Gamji during the Opening Ceremony of the Event, the Permanent Secretary, Dr.Habibu Yalwa reaffirmed the Zamfara State Government’s willingness to support initiatives that strengthen food systems and empower farmers. He thanked the Solidaritès Internationale for their support and called on participants to step down the training to farmers at the grassroots
In his welcome address, the Managing Director of ZADP, Abubakar Ibrahim Maigari, expressed appreciation to Solidaritès Internationale for its continuous support to the Agency and dedication to agricultural development.
Speaking on behalf of Solidaritès Internationale, Mr.Titus highlighted the organization’s objectives in supporting the training, which include strengthening grassroots Agricultural Extension Services and improving farmers’ capacity in AgriBusiness and sustainable practices.
The Partipants are expected to train selected farmers from the Three Senatorial zones in the State on the topics.
