The All Progressive Congress APC aspirant aspiring for Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Yerima Usman Shatima has organized a peace and unity Cup competition, to enhance peace and unity amongst the diverse people’s in Kaduna Central zone.
The 2026 tournament which open with match between Ikhanna Academy Rigasa and Kaduna kick and Die KKD, held at Kigo road primary School in Kaduna.
Speaking with newsmen’s at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Yerima Shatima, said “the essence of the tournament is to promote unity and encourage peace and mutual understanding to the presence generation.
He however promised the tournament to be holds in each and every year, “it’s time that the elite most create such activities that would enhance unity in diversity especially the youths that’s don’t enjoyed the sweat of peace observed in the past Thirty years back.
“it’s also aimed to entertainment and making fun to both elite and the youth s, and also to discovered talented players, for us to support them.”
The peace ambassador also noted that, the football competition is organised between communities of seven local government of Kaduna Central, sixteen teams registered for the tournament.
Which includes; Chikun Selected, Sole Stallion Academy, Rimi Youths Academy, Emirate Academy, Dan Alkali Academy, Kawo Selected, Mai Gwari United, and Kaduna Selected.
Others teams include, Shooting Stars Kaduna, Kakuri Academy, All Stars Kajuru, Barnawa United BUFFA, Kaduna Kick and Die KKD.
