The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industries, Hon. Abdulrahman Tumbido, has received members of the Zamfara State Youth Traders Progressive Union (ZAMYOTPRO) during a courtesy visit to his office in Gusau, where the group presented samples of their locally made shoes, soaps, and bags as evidence of their skill and creativity.
Speaking during the visit, the Commissioner who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Aminu Jibril Guraguri Shinkafi commended the union for its dedication to youth empowerment and the promotion of entrepreneurship among young traders in the state. He assured the delegation of the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to create more opportunities for skill acquisition, industrial growth, and business development across Zamfara State.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the Union, Comrade Auwal Rabi’u (Dogara Allah), highlighted the challenges facing young traders and appealed for government intervention in areas such as vocational training, financial support, and market access. He reaffirmed the union’s commitment to partnering with the government in promoting self reliance and reducing unemployment among youths in Zamfara State.
