Editor of The Legacy Weekly Newspaper, Muhammad Tasi’u Mada is dead. He died at a private hospital in Kano.
A statement issued by the Managing Director Zamfara State Printing and Publishing Company publishers of The Legacy Weekly Newspaper, Alhaji Ahmad Sani Tsafe indicated that Malam Tasi’u died after a prolonged illness.
Holder of Bachelors degree and post graduate diploma in Mass communication, Malam Tasi’u had worked with the The Path Newspaper Sokoto and held position of Director Press Affairs Government House. He was also the Pioneer Secretary Nigeria Union of Journalists Zamfara state council and a one time Correspondents of the path newspaper in Zamfara and Kaduna state’s respectively.
He left behind two wives,eleven children and many grand children.
He has since been buried in his hometown Mada zamfara state in accordance with Islamic rites.
Meanwhile, Zamfara State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Comrade Mannir Haidara and the Managing Director, Zamfara State Media Corporation Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bunun Jangebe have condoled with family of the deceased.
They described the death of Malam Tasi’u as a monumental loss to the state and journalism profession.
