The Federal Government under President Bola Ahmad Tinubu is constructing 23 different roads in the North West region of Nigeria and are at different stages of completion.
This was disclosed by the special assistant to the president Bola Ahmad Tinubu on community engagement on north west Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai while inspecting the on going. dualisation of Funtua–Gusau__Sokoto road.
He expressed satisfaction on the level of work sofar.He said president Bola Ahmad Tinubu is determined to not only develop the north west region but the entire country by executing various developmental projects across all regions of Nigeria
Yakasai said he led team from the office to came and inspect the projects on behalf of the Minister of Works Mr David Umahi.
He commend the president for embarking such developmental projects in the North West region particularly roads projects that were abandoned for several years but now under taking by the present administration of president Bola Ahmad Tinubu with aim of boasting the economy of the region.
Speaking during the inspection visit the representative of setraco handling Funtua __Gusau road and Tri acta handling Gusau ___Talata Mafara road pleaged to complete the projects on schedule.despite security challenges they are facing which some times hinder performance.
Conducting the Special Assistant round the projects the state controller of Works Eng.Kassim Yusuf said his office is closely monitoring the activities of the contractors.
Some of the activities done by the inspection team are inspection of Dualisatin of Zaria-Funtua-Sokoto Road that covers Kaduna, Katsina Zamfara and Sokoto States.

Section lll Gusau to Colony Talata Mafara town, 93 kilometers.
Commissioning of emergency project at
Road repairs, Gidan dawa area in Gusau. .
Commissioning of access road to Federal Secretariat in Gusau, Zamfara State.
