The outgoing Ag. Provost of College of Health Sciences and Technology Tsafe, Malam Jamilu Lawal, has formally handed over the affairs of the College to the newly appointed Provost Dr. Badamasi S. Kaya Maradun, following his appointment as substentive provost on 18 May 2026.
Malam Jamilu lawal, highlighted the major achievements recorded during his tenure which include, rebuilding of confidence and descipline, human resource development, welfare, System Strengthening and control of finances, and advancing the College to greater level through collaboration with other relevant bodies such as NBTE, Professional bodies, JAMB, ITF, Sister Institutions among others.
He expressed deep appreciation to the members of his management team, stressing that, the achievements recorded during his time would not have been possible without their support, dedication, and cooperation. He urged them to extend the same support to the new Provost, whom he described as capable of consolidating existing achievements and introducing new innovations.
In his speech, the newly appointed provost Dr. Badamasi S. Kaya maradun expressed his gratitude to the almighty Allah for giving him the opportunity to witness the occasion And also thanks to the state executive Governor Dauda Lawal for the confidence reposed on him through the appointment “I accept this responsible as a trust and pledge to serve with dedication honesty and commitment”.
Dr, S.kaya assured that, his administration will promote transparency, openness and team work. “This college belong to all of us, and its growth depends on our unity, cooperation and share vision.” he said.
He lamented that, his administration will focus on 4 point agenda which include, Academic excellent, Research and Development, Strong relationships within and outside the college and Support for the rescue agenda of His Excellency Dauda Lawal.
He therefore called on every staff to carry out their duties with dedication and integrity and encourage the students to remain focused and discipline in their studies and also urged the community to continue supporting the institution.
He also appreciate the out going provost for his hard working, dedication and commitment to the progress of the institution.
In this speech the academic secretary of the college Malam Aliyu Sani Tsafe, extolled the leadership qualities and achievements of Malam Jamilu, praying to Almighty Allah to continue to guide and reward him abundantly for his service to the College, he also prayed for wisdom, strength, and success for the new Provost in steering the affairs of the College forward.
