The Kaduna State House of Assembly has pass a bill for the establishment of Kaduna state electricity Regulatory commission, and to establish a commercial and Technical Regulatory framework for the Kaduna State electricity market and for connected purposes into law.
The passage came after the house deliberately of the report presented by the chairman joint committee on public, works and Infrastructure and Judiciary Alhaji Muhammed Nasiru follow by the third ready and the passage.of the bill into law.
The purpose of the law enacted by Kaduna assembly is to provide for the establishment and administration of the Kaduna state electricity Regulatory commission and establish a commercial and Technical Regulatory framework for the Kaduna State electricity market and for connected purposes.
The law is also gain towards facilitating Green Technology and sustainable supply of electricity in the state thereby making it environmentally friendly and to ensure a safety, reliable and efficient interconnection of Kaduna electricity market, subject to federal regulation.
