Social media influencers and digital campaign actors of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State have been charged to deploy their skills, professionalism and commitment towards advancing the party’s candidates and strengthening grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
The charge was given by former APC Social Media Chairman in Jigawa, Hon. Ahmed Rufai Gumel, now a card-carrying ADC member and aspirant for the Gumel State Constituency.
Gumel spoke on Saturday in Hadejia during the second segment of the Digital Media Capacity-Building Programme organised by Project Sabo Nakudu 2027 for digital actors from the Jigawa Northeast Senatorial District.
He said participants’ social media activities would be monitored to assess their coverage, commitment and contribution to the ADC campaign, adding that active and dedicated influencers would be considered for appropriate support and incentives.
Representing the Project Coordinator, Alhaji Usman Sabo Nakudu said the training was designed to strengthen ADC’s digital communication architecture and grassroots mobilisation.
He said participants were being equipped with contemporary digital skills and ethical standards for responsible online engagement, issue-based political communication, voter mobilisation and effective projection of the party’s manifesto and leadership vision.
Former Managing Director of Radio Jigawa, Mati Ali, delivered a lecture on “The Political Journey of Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, CON”, highlighting his political antecedents, public service record, leadership qualities, achievements and vision for Jigawa State.
Other speakers included ADC Hadejia State Constituency candidate, Alhaji Isah Billami, Haruna Shuaibu Danzomo, Alhaji Haruna Global Hadejia and Hon. Sani Anytime.
The training brought together selected influencers, digital volunteers, youth mobilisers, content creators and communication coordinators from the Northeast Senatorial District.
The initiative is part of a three-phase senatorial digital engagement aimed at standardising campaign messaging, strengthening online advocacy and building a disciplined network of ADC digital communicators across Jigawa.
The final phase for the Jigawa Northwest Senatorial District is scheduled to hold in Gumel in the coming weeks.
