The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Hon. Tasiu Musa Shinkafi, has pledged to build upon the achievements recorded by the Ministry and ensure the successful completion of all ongoing projects initiated under the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal.
Hon. Shinkafi made the pledge during the formal handover ceremony held at the Ministry following his appointment by Governor Dauda Lawal as Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
Speaking during the event, the Commissioner expressed appreciation to Governor Dauda Lawal for the confidence reposed in him and assured the people of Zamfara State of his commitment to advancing the Ministry’s mandate through dedication, innovation, and effective service delivery.
He called on the management and staff of the Ministry to continue demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to duty, stressing that collective efforts would be required to achieve greater success.
Hon. Shinkafi assured that he would work tirelessly to ensure the continuation and timely completion of major ongoing projects under the Ministry, including the Investment House project, Gusau Modern Motor Park, Gusau Amusement Park, and the Gusau Ultra-Modern Market.
He further pledged to introduce new initiatives and strengthen existing programmes aimed at promoting commerce, industrial growth, investment opportunities, and economic development across Zamfara State.
The Commissioner emphasized that the Ministry would continue to support businesses, attract investments, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the realization of Governor Dauda Lawal’s development agenda.
The ceremony was attended by the Permanent Secretary, Malam Bashir Siraju, directors, senior management staff, and other employees of the Ministry, who pledged their support and cooperation to the new Commissioner in the discharge of his responsibilities.
