About 6000 youths and women will be economically empowered by Zamfara state government to be self reliant.
This was stated by Dauda Lawal Contact Mobilisation Committee chairman, Abubakar Tsoho iyan Rawayya during a phone-in programme at Zamfara state radio in Gusau recently.
According to the committee chairman, arrangements have been concluded to commence economic empowerment programme of 6000 women and youths under the office of the First Lady, Hajiya Hurriyya Dauda Lawal wife of the state governor.
Alhaji Abubakar Tsoho therefore called on the people in the state, especially those who contributed in Dauda’s success during the 2023 general election to exercise patience as they will soon enjoy the benefit of their sacrifices in Zamfara state.
Abubakar Tsoho, Iyan Rawayya, further revealed that the present administration had made tangible plans to award billions of naira contracts to political figures to boost their economic activities and political resilience. He commended the effort of Governor Dauda Lawal for the N11. 6 billion awarded contracts to renovate and construct additional classrooms in over 300 primary and secondary schools across the 14 local government areas of Zamfara state under the AGILE programme.
He said that six members of the committee were among the beneficiaries of the contracts under the AGILE programme. He thanked the governor for considering their members to benefit from the contracts.
The chairman, Contact Mobilisation Committee of Dauda Lawal, Alhaji Tsoho iyan Rawayya also commended state government’s free medicalcare outreach going on in all the 14 local government areas by qualified consulting doctors treating various ailments.
He explained that, Dauda Lawal Contact Mobilisation Committee has offices and executive members in all the 14 local government areas of the state under the leadership of Abubakar Tsoho iyan Rawayya with the aim and objectives to support the policies and programmes of Dauda Lawal’s administration to succeed.
During the phone-in programme, the chairman was accompanied by all the 14 local government leaders of the committee.
In her remarks at the occasion, Chair lady of the Group, Hajiya Jimma yan Nahuche, said the committee was determined and commitment to empower women and youths into different business ventures to boost their economic independence.
In the same vein, Birnin Magaji Sole Administrator, Alhaji Isiyaka Maja siddi who is also among the members of the committee noted that governor Dauda Lawal must to be commended for his initiative of executing different viable projects in all the 14 local government areas especially on issues concerning insecurity challenges facing the state.
Maja siddi Birnin Magaji also said the present administration had taken serious measures on state’s insecurity challenges. He urged people to continue praying on the issue of insecurity to become history in Zamfara state.
