The Zamfara state government has reiterated its earlier stand that it will not dialogue with bandits.
This was disclosed by the state deputy governor, Malan Mani Malan Mumini while speaking to journalists in his office after the reaffirmation of Dauda Lawal as the duly elected governor of Zamfara state by the supreme court.
He said the Zamfara state government was determined to face the bandits fire for fire until they are eliminated or chased out of the state for peace to rein in the state.
He further said the government of Dauda Lawal will not fold its arms and allow the bandits to terrorize innocent people by kidnapping, killing and vandalizing their properties.
He said currently there are over 4000 Community Protection Guards under going training with a view to protect various communities in the state.
He appealed to the good people of Zamfara state to support the government of Dauda Lawal in its policies and programs that are aim at alleviating the suffering of the people .
He called on the people to intensify prayers for the government to succeed and thanked them for their prayers which God has answered and urged their supporters to be law abiding while celebrating the victory as government would not condone any violence during the celebration.
