The defence Minister Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has charged the military officers in the north west zone to make sure that they capture Bello Turji at all costs and eliminate all the bandits in the region.
The Minister made the charge while addressing officers of “operation Fansan Yamma” of 1brigade command in Gusau.The Minister who is on two days official visit to zamfara state said the president is committed to eradicating banditry not only in zamfara state but the entire region to ensure that there is peace through out the country.
He said President Tinubu is ready to provide all the requirements of the military and other security agencies to bring an end to the security challenges facing the nation.
He further said the military has assured him of doing their best to end banditry and ensure lasting peace in the country.
The defense Minister said he was in zamfara to discuss with the military officers
and assured them the readiness of President Tinubu to provide all the necessary requirements to enable them tackle the insecurity particularly the banditry and other security challenges.
He reiterated that Bello Turji must be brought to justice , he assured that very soon Nigeria would be very safe from any form of criminality .
He further said the major challenges facing the fight against banditry is the informers and the villagers harbouring the criminals in their respective communities.
