Mourns

Kano, Former Senate President, Sen. David Mark, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Brigadier General B.B. Tete, a former Defence attaché to the Nigerian Embassy in China.
This is contained in a statement issued by his Media Advicer, Media Paul Mumeh in Kano on Monday.
In a condolence message, Sen. Mark described Gen. Tete as a detribalized, dependable, and faithful ally who championed peace and unity in Nigeria.
“Gen. Tete was an exceptional individual – a brilliant soldier, accomplished diplomat, teacher, and fine gentleman,” Sen. Mark said. “His passion for nationhood was evident in every assignment he handled.”
Gen. Tete served as Sen. Mark’s Adviser on Special Duties during his tenure as Senate President.
The late General, a member of the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) Course 20, will be buried in his hometown of Bakin Kogi, Kafanchan, Kaduna State, on Wednesday.
Sen. Mark praised Gen. Tete’s kind and gentle nature, intellectual prowess, and commitment to nationhood, saying his absence will be deeply felt in Kaduna State and the Nigerian Armed Forces.
“He left an indelible mark on the minds and hearts of many,” Sen. Mark concluded.
