The Commandant major Fatima Jimoh made the disclosure while delivering a speech at the Graduation Ceremony, Speech and Prize-Giving Day of the institution.
She appeal to parents and guidiance to enroll their children in to the school as the college was established to provide quality education in the areas of sciences, discipline, leadership and character development for the daughters and wards of military personnel and civilians.
She called on parents and guardians to take advantage of the quality education, discipline and secure learning environment available at Command Science Secondary School (Girls), Gusau by enrolling more girls in the school
She said since assuming duty as the sixth Commandant on 14 May 2026, she has recorded significant achievements, including the restoration of regular water supply through solar-powered boreholes, renovation of parts of the Administrative Block, improved sanitation, restoration of the school band, strengthened discipline and enhanced collaboration with parents and stakeholders.
She further said despite these achievements, the college is still facing challenges, which including the absence of a standard science laboratory, inadequate electricity supply, a dilapidated dining hall, inadequate staff accommodation, leaking roofs in both classrooms and staff accommodation, non-functional solar street lights, low student enrolment, and the need for additional instructional materials. We appeal to government, the Nigerian Army, corporate organisations and other well-meaning Nigerians to support the in addressing these needs.
she appreciates the Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force (North West) Operation FANSAN YAMMA, for his recent visit to the school and his Iprompt intervention in improving the college facilities.
Today, the school has 75 students, of which 25 of them are graduating.
Speaking during the ceremony, the special guest of honor the threater commandant joint taskforce of operation fansan Yamma Major General Idris Wara who was represented by Lt colonel YG musa assured the college and the students of maximum support in all their activities
He called on the graduating students to focus more on future challenges ahead.
