The Chairman of the Shehi Matawalle Project for Tinubu Second Term Mandate, North-West Zone, Hon.Babangida Damba, has commended the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its victory in the recent by-election for the Kauran Namoda South Constituency seat in the Zamfara State House of Assembly.
While Speaking with journalists, recenty in Kaduna, Damba said “the party’s success was a clear indication that the APC has regaining strength and popularity in Zamfara State.
He however noted that the outcome of the poll reflected the determination of the electorate to vote out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led administration in the state.
Damba also explained that, the results showed APC leading in 104 out of 109 polling units, with 2, 664 votes merging, adding that despite the cancellation and rescheduling of some results, the outcome still favoured the party.
He stressed that the development demonstrated the growing trust of the people in the APC, while also expressing disappointment with Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration, which he said had failed to deliver on its promises as it approached three years in office.
The project chairman further commended the APC chieftains in the state; former Governors Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Bello Muhammad Matawalle and Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura, for their efforts in strengthening the party.
He described the party’s loss in the 2023 elections as a temporary setback, saying APC is now more united and working towards lasting solutions to the challenges facing the people of Zamfara.
Babangida Samba, expressed optimism that the APC would not only reclaim Zamfara State but also consolidate its influence nationwide, as Nigerians were beginning to see the party’s plans for development.
He therefore called on the people of Zamfara to continue supporting the APC, assuring them that the party would focus on human development, education, security, and the protection of lives and property.
