THE adolescent girls initiative for learning and empowerment (AGILE)has solicited the support of media practitioners in mobilizing and enlightened the general public to cue in for the success of the program
Speaking during the bi_annual media round table meeting in Gusau, the project coordinator of AGILE in zamfara Saadatu Audu Gusau said the project would not succeed with out the total support and cooperation of the media practitioners and relevant stakeholders especially in mobilizing the rural people who are mostly the target beneficiaries.
She said the media need to enlightened the rural people on the importance of sending girl child to school to aquired education and skills needed for a better society.
She said AGILE would continue to engage the services of media practitioners in educating parents and stakeholders on the preparation and activities of the project to ensure that people are adequately mobilize and enlightened so that they can send their girl child back to school.
She said AGILE has map out several strategy on how to involve media practitioners in the implementation of the program.
She said AGILE would make sure that all girls that are suppose to be in school are send back to school as no girl child would be left over so the need to mobilize parents and enlightened them the benefit of education girl child.
Also speaking at the meeting, the honourable commissioner of education Wadatau Madawaki said zamfara state government would give all the necessary requirements and support needed for the success of the AGILE project.
