The northern prestigeous business gurus president Dangote group Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Alhaji Abdulsamad Isiyaku Rabiu, also the Preaident BUA group, have jointly donated the sum of 2.5b naira each to Arewa Consultative Forum Endowment Fund.
The 2.5b donations have jointly announced by BUA at the 25 years ACF anniversary and and launching of endowment funds, recently held at Yar Adua hall Murtala square in Kaduna.
In his addressed, the former Vice President, federal republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Wazirin Adamwa, said “salute the courage and resilience of the ACF leadership, stressed that many of whom have departed to the great beyond. May their soul rest in peace.
He however explained that, the ACF 25 Anniversaries are not only for celebrating achievements. They are also periods of reviews and reflections on the objectives and vision of organizations.
” it’s therefore an occasion to reflect on the formation of the live premier of Northern platform and evaluate its impact.”
“Northern Nigeria is a large and heavily populated country, full of vitality and promise. In such a large country, there is inevitably a great deal of diversity, but in this diversity, as in our great country, lies our strength.”
Also speaking at the ceremony, the Sultan of Sokoto, his Eminence Muhammad Sa ad Abubakar, calls on the need to have one umbrella with the ability to accommodate the various ethnic and religious groups.
He however urged the northern people’s to remain united, there is nothing this region cannot accomplish, he solemnly warned those try to break this unity for their own selfish ends. They set tribe against tribe, Christian against Muslim, people against their Chief.”
Sultan Sa ad further appeasl to the leaders to be sense of responsibility and reconsidered ther priorities and rise up to the numerous challenges facing the North.
Other donations include; one billion naira from former Sokoto and Zamfara state governor, Senators Aliyu Magtakardar Wamakko and Abdulla azeez Yari Abubakar of Zamfara.among others.
