The former minister of communication and digital economic, professor Isa Ali Pantami has encouraged the governments for technological investment especially on artificial intelligence in health care sector for effective health delivery.
Professor Ali Pantami made the appealed during age paper presentation at 26th annual general meeting and scientific conference organised by Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria, held at Arewa House in Kaduna.
The this year scientific conference topic titled; “artificial intelligence in health care: benefits, ethical boundaries and Islamic perspectives.”
According to the former minister, its mandatory for the states and Federal government’s to priorities investment on artificial intelligence for medical practitioners is inevitable and mandatory to support the system in saving lives and early disease detection.
Pantami however narrated how the government of Saudi Arabia launched the budget of the sum of 40 billions US dollars only on artificial intelligence, which is equivalent to 2023 Nigerian budget.
The communication expert also noted that, the problem of Nigerian policy is lack of technological investment that are critical to Carter global challenge.
“visit Africans countries like Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia, were per ahead of Nigeria in technology especially on artificial intelligence, ninety percent of their hospitals governed by artificial intelligence machines.”
Also speaking with newsmen’s, a Professor in medicine Adamu Ila Bakari from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, presented a lecture on “non communicable diseases.” Said non communicable diseases are the disease that can’t transfer from one person to another, like cancer, hypertension and diabetes among others.
According to professor Bakari, it’s preventable advised for a human to embrace a healthy life styles, eat healthy and avoid the use of refined food’s, and take live very easy, avoid smoking and alcoholism.
Earlier in his welcomed addressed, the President IMAN, Professor Ibrahim Orealida, said “the association is the umbrella body for all Muslims health care professionals and related health concerned in Nigeria.
The conference is a way of celebrating the activities and enlightened the public that health is wealth, and ensuring every body get access to a qualitative health care.
” we are pledge to bring free quality health care through a needs communities in different parts of the country. “
The Amir IMAN Kaduna state and chief host of the the annual conference, Doctor Muhammad Mustafa Yakub, has appeals to the participants to take the messages back home, for those that’s not be able to attend for their benefit of what have been discussed.
The Kaduna Amir, also charged his fellows colleague’s in the profession to adhere any global challenges coming to them in health care.
