Forty thousand thousand (40,000) women has been empowered in zamfara by a political movement in support of Governor Dauda Lawal.
The chairman of the group known as G15 comrade Manir Haidara disclosed this while briefing journalists on the activities of the group in Gusau, he said the group has visited all the 14 local government areas of the state distributing cash and other assorted items to women across the state with the aim of assisting them to start small businesses that can enhanced their socioeconomics well being.
Comrade Manir who is also the chairman of Kaura Namoda local said the aim of the group is to assist and compliment the effort of Governor Dauda Lawal in his rescue mission.
He further said Governor Dauda Lawal has perform extremely well in all areas of human development so deserve the support and encouragement of all the people in zamfara.
He said in Gusau local government over twenty million has been shared to women in addition to other assistance.
He said the second phase of the program that would focus on youth is expected to come up immediately after sallah and call on the people of zamfara to continue to support the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal to provide the enabling environment for socioeconomics development of the state.
