The Emir of Minna Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago, has appealed to the federal ministries of power and environment, to make an adequate arrangement for the payments of compensation of affected communities on the proposed construction of 182Km, 330KV DC Minna Kaduna transmission line project.
The transmission line project which started from Maikunkele in Niger state to Millennium City Substation Kaduna state.
The Emir of Minna made the calls through the Idon Minna, Professor Inusa Danladi Hakimi, during the joint ministerial Panel review committee hearing for the proposed transmission line project, held at Assa Pyramid hotel in Kaduna.
According professor Danladi said most of the projects carried out previously the host communities haven’t carried alone, to reached hundred percent support from the host communities for projects implementation of any projects there’s need to involves the host communities via the Emirate partnership.
He however expressed that, most of the affected communities free dominance occupation for farming, to get access their farmland adequate arrangement should be given for the payments of compensation before starting the projects.
“we are really emphasized the fully compensation for the host communities have to be paid, and also emphasized on social responsibilities of the affected communities.”
Also speaking during the hearing committee, the Village head of Sobawa, Rigachikun District, Alhaji Abdulmumeen Mohammad Nasir, also Appeals for fully compensation of Sobawa layout which recently the Kaduna state government have allocated the plots to both industrial and commercial.
He also emphasized that, the Sobawa community will hundred support the project if government compensated the affected peoples especially allocated layouts plots that’s secured CFO.
“I appeals to the government through the affected ministries to partnered with traditional institution in resolving the issues of compensation for the affected communities.”
