In his efforts to resuscitate the diminished glory of basic education in the state, the Executive Chairman Zamfara state Universal Basic Education Board, ZSUBEB, Professor Nasir Garba Anka today embarked on inspection visit to some primary schools In Gusau the state capital.
The Executive Chairman ZSUBEB during the tour said, supervision was part of their responsibilities to ensure that pupils and their teachers resumed normal academic activities at schools .
According to him, “we will not stay at our offices receiving reports, we will continue going out to see the performance of our teachers”. the Chairman added.
He explained that, education is a responsibility of all and sundry, and therefore charged parents and guardians to ensure that their wards resumed back to schools following the termination of the Christmas and new year holiday.
A press statement issued by the public relations officer of the board, Ibrahim Musa Maizare indicated that Professor Anka opined that , the holiday had come to an end since last week and insisted that, Governor Dauda Lawal’s led administration will not relent effort in changing the narrative of basic education in the state to a greater level.
During the visit , the ZSUBEB boss has commended the effort of Head Teacher of Army children school Gusau, Isa Musa for his initiative of ensuring that teachers resumed to schools as at when due and called on all his counterparts to emulate his giant effort.
In a related development, the Executive Chairman also showed his dismay on the fire inferno that razed some part of the school for special education Gusau and described the incident as disheartening and unfortunate. He assured to take all necessary action to avoid future recurrence.
During the supervision , the Executive Chairman was accompanied by his management team such as permanent members, Alhaji Dahiru Shehu Madawaki, Rufa’i jibiril Muhammad, Bala Aliyu Gusau and Dr. Rabiatu Musa Mafara, Director school services, Garba Abdullahi as well as Ag Director physical planing , Aliyu Abdullahi.
