The Zamfara State Government, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, has formally handed over a designated house to the Bank of Industry (BoI) in furtherance of its commitment to strengthening economic development, promoting industrial growth, and expanding access to finance for businesses across the state.
The initiative forms part of the state government’s broader efforts to facilitate access to interest-free and affordable loan schemes, aimed at empowering entrepreneurs, supporting small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), and improving the overall economic wellbeing of the people of Zamfara State.
The handover ceremony was conducted by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Alhaji Aminu Jibril Guraguri, alongside other senior officials of the ministry, to officials of the Bank of Industry. The event marks a significant milestone in the government’s drive to attract key financial institutions and create an enabling environment for entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners in the state.
Guraguri Shinkafi reaffirmed the government’s resolve to collaborate closely with the Bank of Industry in promoting industrialization, job creation, and sustainable economic growth in Zamfara State. They noted that the presence of the Bank of Industry in the state would significantly enhance access to funding opportunities for local businesses and stimulate commercial activities.
In his remarks, the Zamfara State Managing Director, Bank of Industry Malan Umar Muhammed expressed appreciation to the Zamfara State Government and the Ministry of Commerce and Industries for the gesture, describing it as a clear demonstration of political will and commitment to economic transformation. He assured the government and the people of Zamfara State of the bank’s readiness to support viable business initiatives and development projects that will contribute to the state’s economic prosperity.
