The Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Zamfara State Council has congratulated Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal over his recent victory at the Supreme Court.
A press statement issued by the council’s Chairman, Ibrahim Musa Maizare and Secretary, Ibrahim Ahmad Gada said
“The Apex Court’s judgement which duly affirmed your election as the Executive Governor of Zamfara State is a clear testimony that Allah has answered the prayers of the overwhelming people of the state who massively voted for you during the election held in March 2023.The judiciary had proven itself as the last hope for the common man and commended it for the foresight”.
“What happened at the Apex court will be remembered forever by all patriotic and good wishers of the Zamfara State Government as well as the Nigeria democratic system”.
“The Court’s final verdict also serves as a Go-ahead flag for you to continue with your laudable and selfless leadership style which you have exhibited since you assumed office on rescue mission of Zamfara State”.
The Union added that, “As the Umbrella Union of Journalists in the state,we pledge our continued cooperation and support and look forward to working with your administration towards the development of Zamfara State and Journalism profession in the state and the country in general.”
