As part of activities marking the 2025 NAPPS Day Celebration, the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Zamfara State Chapter under the leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Tukur, held a special prayer session at the Gusau Central Mosque to pray for the state and the success of the education sector.
The event featured key dignitaries including the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mallam Wadatau Madawaki the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Religious Affairs Alh Garba Altine Dauran, who represented the Commissioner, the Special Adviser on Religious Matters, Mallam Bello Al-Mufti, and the District Head of Gusau, Sarkin Gabas Alhaji Bashir Kabir Dan Baba, alongside pupils from selected private schools.
Speaking at the event, Mallam Wadatau Madawaki ,on behalf of His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal appreciated NAPPS for their spiritual commitment and support to government’s education reforms. He reiterated the administration’s dedication to transforming the education sector, particularly through public-private synergy.
This event followed a courtesy visit paid by the executive members of NAPPS to the Honourable Commissioner, where they sought greater collaboration with the ministry and informed him of their planned humanitarian outreach and activities for NAPPS Day.
Mallam Wadatau commended the association for aligning with government efforts, and assured them of continued support, especially in capacity building and regulation.
He also warned that unlicensed private schools in the state would soon be shut down as part of government’s education sector reforms.
The NAPPS Day celebration in Zamfara reflected unity, responsibility, and commitment to quality private education in line with state policies.
