The Emir of Kaura Namoda in Zamfara state, Alh. Sanusi Muhammad Asha has called on both public and private schools in his emirate to escalate entrepreneurship and innovation scheme in their curriculum.
The monarch made the call Tuesday at the national children day celebration held in Kaura Namoda town the headquarters of Kaura Namoda local government council of the state .
According to him, by creating innovative programs and entrepreneurship skills for the benefit of students will go along way in creating job opportunities among students after leaving their respective schools.
He stated that programs like local craft, weaving, saloon, soap making, carpentry, welding will enable students become self employed at the end of school.
The Emir further stated that there is need for introducing the innovative and entrepreneurship skills at primary and secondary levels for a better future generation.
“I am calling on both public and private schools management at primary and secondary schools in my emirate to more innovative and entrepreneurship skills in their respective schools for the betterment of our future generation “. He said
The Emir urged parents and guardians to enroll their children to school particularly girl child for better future generation.
According to him, by educating one single child is like you educate one person but by educating one single girl is like you educate the whole society.
He commended Zamfara state governor Dauda Lawal for declaring state of emergency on education, noting that his emirate will give unwavering support to the government to develop education system in the state.
