The Zamfara State Coordination Office of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project has organized a comprehensive two-day training workshop for officers drawn from various sectors involved in livestock production and data management in the state.
The workshop, held in Gusau, focused on Productivity and Technology Adoption Survey and Analysis , and was facilitated by a team from the renowned Tecnopreneur Livestock Institute Kontagora.
The aim was to equip officers with the required technical capacity to effectively design, implement, and interpret livestock productivity surveys in line with modern practices.
Declaring the event open, the State L-PRES Coordinator, Nasiru Mohammed, highlighted the relevance of evidence-based planning in livestock development. He stressed that data accuracy, modern technology adoption, and continuous monitoring are critical components for achieving the goals of the L-PRES project in Zamfara State.
Participants were trained on key thematic areas such as:
- Survey design and methodology specific to livestock production
- Data collection tools and techniques
- Practical sessions on data analysis and interpretation
- – Integration of technology in productivity tracking
The coordinator expressed appreciation to the Zamfara State Government under the leadership of Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal and the National Coordination Office of L-PRES for their unwavering support to the project.
Participants commended the training as timely and impactful, noting that the skills acquired will enhance the effectiveness of livestock interventions across the state. Certificates were issued at the end of the workshop.
