The zamfara state independent electoral commission has 16th November 2024 as the day for local government election across the state .
This was announced by the chairman of the commission Bala Aliyu Gusau while briefing journalists on the preparation of the election in his office in Gusau.
He said adequate arrangements has been made to ensure hitch free election as the commission is fully prepared for task ahead.
He further said all the guidelines and procedure would be communicated to the relevant agencies and the political parties for proper guidance.
Bala Aliyu Gusau said the commission would leave no stone unturned to ensure it delivered it’s constitutional mandate of conducting free and fair election that would be acceptable to all parties involved.
He said the commission would commence the sales of nominations forms for both the chairmen and the counselors on the 25 October 2024.
He urged all participating political parties to play game according to the rules and regulations of party election.
