The Ramadan welfare distribution initiative, led by the wife of the Governor, Her Excellency Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has successfully concluded, providing essential support to vulnerable families and individuals during the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative has reached thousands of beneficiaries across the state.
Her Excellency personally oversaw the distribution of essential food items, cooking oil, and clothing to various categories of people from across the state.
In a statement signed by Zara’u Musa, the Senior Special Assistant to the Zamfara Governor’s Wife on Media and Communication, it was revealed that the initiative has positively impacted over 250,000 households and other vulnerable groups statewide.
In her closing remarks, the Governor’s Wife expressed her gratitude to her husband, Governor Dauda Lawal, for his unwavering support and dedication, which made the initiative possible.
“My deepest gratitude also goes to the distribution committee, the local government chairpersons, and our traditional rulers. Their commitment and collaboration ensured that relief reached even the most remote corners of our state. Your compassion and hard work have turned this initiative into a beacon of hope, embodying the true spirit of Ramadan,” she added.
“Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion, and giving. It is our collective responsibility to uplift and support one another, especially those facing hardship. I am deeply thankful to everyone who joined hands with us to make this outreach possible.”
She reaffirmed her commitment to ongoing welfare and empowerment programs, emphasizing that community support will remain a top priority beyond the Ramadan season.
Huriyya Lawal also took this opportunity to extend her warm wishes to all citizens and prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and unity across the state.
