The Commissioner, of Commerce and Industries, Hon. Abdulrahman Muhammad Tumbido, joined His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, on an official trip to the Canada to attend Africa Trade and Investment Expo held in Toronto, Canada.
The Governor delivered the keynote address on Strengthening Canada–Africa Partnerships in Trade and Investment for Sustainable Growth, emphasizing the need for genuine collaboration between Africa and Canada.
During the visit, Zamfara State signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CStaible Inc., Canada, to promote climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness development, and youth empowerment.
Zamfara also showcased its mineral resources and exportable agricultural products at the exhibition segment of the Expo. The delegation later attended the US Africa Business Week and the Unstoppable Africa Forum in New York, where Governor Lawal participated as keynote speaker and panelist.
Hon. Abdulrahman Tumbido commended the Governor for his visionary leadership in promoting Zamfara as an emerging investment destination and assured continued follow-up to actualize the partnerships established during the trip.
