New executive members to run the affairs of Zamfara state chapter of Cattle Dealers Association have been elected.
Those elected are comrade Aminu Garba Gusau as Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi as vice chairman, Bashiru Abubakar secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim as assistant secretary while Alhaji Sani to serve as treasurer.
Others are, Surajo Shu’aibu as financial secretary, Abubakar Jibril as assistant financial secretary, Abubakar Buda as organising secretary, Abdullahi Mahmud to serve as chief judge of the Assiciation among others.
Speaking shortly after the formal inauguration of the executive members, the commissioner of Animal health and forestry Dr Ibrahim Abdullahi charged them to carry all members along in order to succeed in the discharge of their primary assignment.
He said, the ministry was ready to assist them when ever the need arises, calling on them to always aupport government policies and programmes.
The commissioner also charged Cattle dealers to assist the state government in fighting armed banditry and cattle rustling, as according to him their association has important role to play in that regard.
On the problem being faced from the hands of the security agencies the commissioner assured them that he will see the commissioner of police so that any matter that arises shall be resolve amicably as partners in progress.
Also speaking, the Emir of Gusau Alhaji Ibrahim Bello assured of Emirate’s support to the association, and called on them to always abide by the law of Zamfara state and Nigeria at large.
In his acceptance apeech, the chairman of Cattle dealers association in the state comrade Aminu Garba promised to carry every member along.
He said the association is blessed with people of reputable caracter and they will maitain it, adding that he will collaborate with security agencies in the state to arreat anybody found selling rustled Cattle who ever he is.
The inauguration which was held at Maryam hall Gusau was highlighted with the presntation of awards to the c of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello, APC chairman and desrving personalities among others.
