The zamfara resident electoral commissioner Mahmoud Isa has denied any wrong doing in the discharge of his responsibility.
The commissioner made the denial while speaking to journalists shortly after the stake holders meeting in preparation for the supplementary election in some polling units in Sakajiki and kyambarawa wards in Kaura Namoda south house of assembly supplementary election on Thursday 21st August 2025.
He said through out his Carrier service he has never been found wanting on any wrong doing.
He further said he has heard from certain quarters that,he met with some zamfara state government officials with a view to compromise his position in favor of the government in the supplementary election.
He denied meeting with any government officials or agency with a view to compromise his position as REC in the rerun election.
He emphasize the preparedness and readiness of INEC to conduct free and fair supplementary election devoid of any injustice as all necessary arrangements has been concluded.
Earlier the All Progress Congress in a press release sign by Yusuf Idris Gusau the Publicity secretary has alleged that the REC has met with some zamfara state government officials with a view to compromise his position.
