The Zamfara state Governorship Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress APC has announced the appointment of a 25-member Decampees Coordinating Committee that will handle reception and coordination of the increasing number of decampees into the APC in the state.
This was communicated and made public today via the Secretary General of the GCC and former SSG of the state, Prof. Abdullahi Muhammad Shinkafi.
The constitution of the committee was necessitated by the increasingly overwhelming entrants into the APC from other political parties in the state.
Recall that the APC has continuously received defectors since the commencement of the campaign, which further increased with the peace and unity attained by all members of the party in the state.
Zamfara people have also been faithful to the APC with the confidence they have in the Matawalle-led administration, especially in the fight against armed banditry, which hitherto threatened development in the state
The 25-man committee has Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura and Hon. Muttaqa Muhammad Rini as Chairman and Secretary, respectively, also has the following 23 other members: Ambassador Abubakar Hussaini Moriki, Prof Abdullahi Muhammad Shinkafi, Hon.Tukur Umar Danfulani, Hon. Lawali M Liman, Hon. Muhammad Sani Takori, Hon. Ibrahim UmarDangaladima, Hon. Sani Musa Talata Mafara, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad Danmadami, Hon. Isah Abdulmuminu, Hon. Abubakar S/Pawa Dambo, Hon. Ibrahim Maaji Gusau, Hon. Babangida Abdullahi and Hon. Musa Zubairu Nasarawa Mailayi.
Others include Alh. Hassan Marafa Damri, Alh. Abdullahi Ja’o Zurmi, Alhaji Lawali Abubakar Makaman Kaura, Alh. Abu Zahara,Alh. Sahalu S/Pawa Mafara, Alh. Abubakar Nagoggo T/Mafara, Alh Babangida Abubakar Anka, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, Hajiya Aisha Waziri and Hajiya Saude Hashimu.
