The zamfara state head of service Ahmad Liman who is also the chairman steering committee on verification and implementation of the new minimum wage has disclosed that his committee to verify all civil servants in the state has discovered several ghost workers in zamfara payroll including 20 ghost medical doctors in one hospital in the state.
He made the disclosure while briefing journalists on the preparation of zamfara government plan to implement the 70,000 minimum wage.He the government has set up committees to ascertain and verify the actual number of civil servants in the state and make recommendation.
Ahmad Liman reiterated the determination of zamfara state government to fully implement the minimum wage as soon as the committee submit its report at the end of the month.
He further said the committee is working tirelessly to ensure that thorough job is done with sole aim of sanitizing the integrated pay roll of the state for proper implementation of the wage.
He appeal to workers in the state to excise patient as government is doing everything humanly possible to ensure that civil servants in the state are authenticated on the nominal roll.
