Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for executing several development projects and implementing social intervention schemes in Kebbi state that enhanced the socio-economic wellbeing of the residents.

Abubakar Atiku Bagudu made the commendation at the foundation laying and groundbreaking ceremony of a skill acquisition centre at Bagudo.
Construction of the centre received the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari through the National Agency for Science and Engineering infrastructure, NASENI.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu highlighted that the setting up of the skill acquisition centre to train youths in modern technology for self-reliance, the establishment of the federal university of Agriculture, Zuru, the Federal University Birnin Kebbi, the approval for the establishment of Federal Colleges of Education in Bagudo and Yauri, as well as Agricultural Development must be appreciated and commended.
Governor Bagudu similarly mentioned the establishment of one hundred bed capacity General Hospital at Tsamiya, the establishment of Immigration College in Bagudo to train immigration officers from the West African Sub-region and the proposed setting up of factory of agricultural machinery by NASENI for the North-West to be sited in Kebbi state that would fabricate tractors, and other agricultural implements by the Buhari administration.
The Governor was highly delighted about the glamorous position of Kebbi state among the states in the federation, saying it is the most talked about state nationwide, arising from its prime leadership in rice production.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu specifically commended the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami SAN, CON, for his invaluable contribution to the socio-economic development of the state.
Similarly, he poured encomiums on former Governor of the state, Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari for his beneficial leadership that facilitated the growth of Kebbi state and hailed the election of Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu as the APC Gubernatorial Candidate whom he described as a credible performer that has the capability to build upon the progress recorded in the development of the state if elected as governor.
The Governor solicited for massive votes from the people in this year’s general elections for the victory of the APC.
In a remark, the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, CON, commended President Muhammad Buhari for placing premium on societal growth and focusing attention on Kebbi state.
The minister was also full of praises for Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for his unrelenting efforts and struggle to bring succour and desired development in all sectors to the people of the state.
He acknowledged that the Skill Acquisition Centre under construction in Bagudo has been designed to train youths in electrical engineering and other fields of technology towards technological advancement, self-employment and wealth creation.
Addressing the gathering, the Kebbi APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, expressed gratitude to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for facilitating the upliftment of the living condition of people in the state through various intervention schemes.
In a welcome speech, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI, Professor Muhammad Sani Haruna, said similar skill acquisition centre under construction in Bagudo has been established in all the states of the federation, and the Federal Capital Territory on the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Professor Muhammadu Sani Haruna explained that the centres have been designed to meet rural technological challenges, generate employment and produce competent manpower.
The Chief Executive Officer thanked Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for his support to NASENI to carry out its activities with success.
Professor Sani Haruna acknowledged that Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has used the fora of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and the National Economic Council to mobilize the wherewithal for NASENI to perform creditably.
He thanked the Minister for Justice for donating twenty hectares of land for the establishment of the skill acquisition centre in Bagudo.
At the ceremony, NASENI, on the mandate of President Muhammadu Buhari, distributed three hundred and fifty units of smokeless strove and pressure pot to rural women in Bagudo local government area.
The stoves have been fabricated to eliminate the use of firewood thereby minimizing deforestation.
Present at the ceremony were the Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Sani Abubakar Lolo, former Governor, Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, the Managing Director, HYPPADEC, Alhaji Sadiq Yelwa, Katukan Yauri, the representative of the Emir of Gwandu, Commissioners and other government functionaries.
In votes of thank, the Chairman Bagudo Local Government, Alhaji Sambo Aliyu Zagga, gave an assurance that the Council would give the necessary support towards success of the skill acquisition centre
Gov Atiku Bagudu Condoles Boat Mishap Victims
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has paid condolence visit to the families of victims of boat mishap in Samanaji town Koko/Besse local government who lost their lives or remain missing.
During the visit to the area, the Governor expressed sadness on the tragic incident and prayed to God to prevent recurrence.
He advised operators of Water Transportation of boats and Canoes to strictly adhere to operational guidelines.
According to a press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari the
governor beseeched Allah to admit the departed into Aljannah Firdausi and quick discovery of those still missing.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu commended fishermen, local divers, farmers and community leaders for their effort in the rescue operation.
The governor cautioned those engaged in water transportation to avoid night travel, over loading, over speeding and ensure proper inventory of passengers.
The Chairman of Koko/Besse Local Government, Alhaji Yahaya Bello Koko and the District Head of Dutsinmari, Baraden Dutsinmari, Alhaji Mu’Allayidi Usman informed the Governor that the actual number of people on board the boat has not been ascertained but four bodies have been recovered while several passengers have been rescued unhurt.
The Governor was accompanied on the visit by former Governor, Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, CON, Kebbi State APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, APC Kebbi North Senatorial Candidate, Dr. Hussaini Sulaiman Kangiwa.
The APC Gubernatorial Candidate Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu donated five million naira to the families of the victims.
