Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Marafan Sokoto has donated the sum of 23 Million Naira and 105 bags of assorted food items to 23 Victims of recent Nigerian Airforce airstrike incidence in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Making the donation while on a condolence/sympathy visit to the Emir of Maradun, Sarkin Ƙaya Alhaji Garba Muhammad Tambari MFR in his Maradun Palace on Saturday, 18/01/2025, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Marafan Sokoto) described the incidence as an act of Almighty Allah SWT.
Represented by the Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission, Zamfara State office, Hon. Muhammad Muttaƙa Rini (Makaman Zamfara) who led the Senator’s powerful delegation to the Palace called on the families of the deceased and the injured victims to as true believers view it as destiny that could not be averted.
He prayed to Allah SWT to grant the souls of the 13 deceased Persons perfect peace in His Jannatil Firdausi, their families, Gidan Goga District and Maradun Emirate the fortitude to bear the loss and the 20 injured Persons quick recovery.
Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar stressed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidency will continue to sustain its efforts in bringing back lasting peace and stability in Zamfara State, North West Region and Nigeria within the shortest possible time so that the Socio-economic lives of the Citizens is guaranteed.
Responding on behalf of the Victims, Emir of Maradun, Sarkin Ƙaya Alhaji Garba Muhammad Tambari MFR expressed gratitude to the Senator’s gesture, emphasising that it will go a long way in cushioning the condition of the victims in their trying time.
The Emir described Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar’s intervention as a clear testimony of his positive response to the yearnings of his Constituents at all times.
Under the package, each of the 13 deceased families will receive the sum of One Million Naira and 5 bags of food items while the 20 injured persons are to receive the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira and Two bags of food items each.
It could be recalled that Victims of the unfortunate incidence were mostly from Kakindawa village of Gidan Goga District in Maradun Emirate, Zamfara State.
