President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and Governor Dauda Lawal has been told to resign their position due to failure to tackle the insecurity ravaging zamfara state and the country in general .
The call was made by the chairman Africa Democratic party (ADC) zamfara state Kabiru Garba Gusau during the 2025 Handshake day with theme: Building relationship high lightning the role of handshaking in establishing, trust , respect and professionalism:held in Gusau.
He said president Bola Tinubu and Governor Dauda Lawal has been making unfulfilled promises to the people of zamfara state to tackle the bandits, he said of recent the bandits have been on rampage with several killings and kidnapping in several villages and towns in zamfara
He further said recently 38 people were slaughtered in Banga in Kaura Namoda local government and nothing was done by either the Federal or state government .
He further said Governor Dauda Lawal has abandoned the people of zamfara state by frequent travels out of the state.
He emphasize the failure of the duo in combatting the insecurity in the state to ensure peaceful coexistence among the people therefore the need for them to resign.
Kabiru Garba Gusau call on governor Dauda Lawal as a matter of urgency to settle rift which created parallel assembly in the state.
He expressed the readiness of ADC to take over zamfara state in 2027 general election.He said ADC has so far received over 75,000 decampees from different parties in the state
