Barrister Suwaiba Ibrahim Barau was briefed by the Directors of various departments of the Ministry as she assumed duties.
The briefing, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Gusau, was aimed at given the permanent Secretary first hand information on the activities of the ministry, where she was introduced to key staff and updated on the ministry’s ongoing programs and projects aimed at empowering women and protecting the rights of children in the state.
During the meeting, the directors provided Barrister Barau with an overview of the ministry’s activities, challenges, and achievements. She expressed her commitment to ensuring the continued welfare of women and children in Zamfara, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders to achieve the ministry’s goals.
Barrister Suwaiba Ibrahim Barau’s appointment is seen as a positive step towards enhancing the impact of the ministry, and she vowed to work diligently to build on the successes of rescue mission of governor Dauda Lawali towards women and children
