Zamfara state Executive Chairperson of Internal Revenue Service, Hajiya Rakkiya Ahmad Dodo has emphasized the need for tax payers to obtain tax clearance certificate.
She stressed that they could get it through the process of legitimate procedures of paying their taxes to the State Board of Internal Revenue Service to avoid falling into the nets of fraudsters.
The Executive Chairperson, State Internal Revenue Service, Hajiya Rakkiya Ahmed Dodo made the call in a Zamfara Radio weekly Hausa Phone-in Programme ” Da Ruwan Ciki akanja na Rijiya”.
Hajiya Rakkiya Ahmed Dodo who spoke through the Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Shehu Dandare Gummi, said the Board was responsible for the collection of taxes to enable the State Government execute developmental projects across the state.
In a remark, Director Direct Assessment Department of the Board, Hajiya Aisha Aliyu Shu’aibu Kotorkoshi advised political officeholders in the state that are yet to obtain their Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) from the Board to hasten doing so in order to contribute their quota to the development of the state.
During the programme contributors from within and outside the state offered suggestions on the activities of the Board with a view to improving revenue generation of the state.
Present during the programme were, Director Information Department of the Board, Aminu Adamu Ibrahim and Public Relations Officer, Sanusi Ibrahim S/yamma among others.
