The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) is gearing up for its national election, and the campaign trail is heating up. Recently, NUJ leadership and delegates from the B Zone, comprising Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, and Ogun, endorsed Alhassan Yahya as their preferred presidential candidate.
The campaign train then moved to Kano State today, Wednesday as part of the Zone A campaign, where Alhassan Yahya and his deputy, Abimbola Oyetunde received endorsements from the leadership, stakeholders, and delegates in the state.
For us in the Team A+A Campaign Council, this latest endorsement is significant, as it indicates strong support for Alhassan Yahya’s candidacy ahead of the national election on November 27th.
The NUJ has a rich history, dating back to its founding on March 15, 1955, in Lagos. The union has evolved over the years, focusing on improving conditions for journalists and promoting professional standards in the industry.
